专利说明:

The invention relates to a color remover and a method for the mechanical removal of color layers or unstable adhering color spots of surfaces,
For the renovation of painted surfaces, such., Ceilings, walls, doors, beams, etc. old paint layers that are not sustainable or adhere unstable, must be removed before repainting. Otherwise there is a risk of damage to the new paint, such as exfoliation, blisters, etc. For a good substrate preparation, all paint layers that are insufficiently adhering to the substrate must be removed. Only enough viable layers of paint, whose cohesion and adhesion are sufficiently high, can remain on the substrate.
For the removal of dye and varnish layers so far essentially the following mechanical and chemical methods have been used.
The color layer is milled with a milling machine. In this process, we removed the paint layer with a milling machine, which despite dust extraction creates much dust and dirt. For the work at least goggles and ear protection must be worn. For work in heights or on the ceiling, pedestals must be set up or worked on a ladder in small portions with periodical displacement of the ladder. Electrical connection and dust protection for the remaining premises are necessary for this work. The work on a ceiling is very tiring, because the machine (depending on the model over 4 kg) must be kept upside down. Furthermore, the substrate is massively damaged and, where appropriate, a gypsum layer must be completely rebuilt, which requires external work (plasterers) and further drying times.
The paint layer is sanded with sandpaper and a grinder. In this process, we removed the paint layer with a grinding machine, it creates despite dust even more dust and dirt than during milling. At least protective goggles and ear protection as well as other protective clothing, such as dust masks and headgear, must be worn when working. For working in the height or on the ceiling, podiums must be set up or worked on a ladder in small stages with periodic displacement of the ladder. Power connection and a dust cover for the remaining premises are also necessary for this work. Working on a blanket is very strenuous, because the machine (over 4 kg, depending on the model) must also be held overhead. It consumes a lot of sandpaper. For 1 square meter of paint, more than 3 sheets of sandpaper are often used, which quickly requires more than 50 sheets of sandpaper for a small room. The surface is damaged, but not as strong as when milling. The resulting grinding shafts must be leveled off, which takes up working time, material and other drying times. Furthermore, there is a high downstream cleaning effort when grinding.
With a spatula or similar tools, the paint layers are repelled. In doing so, e.g. a gypsum substrate is badly damaged and it creates a lot of dirt. This procedure is extremely labor intensive. It goes without saying that the damage to the substrate must also be smoothed out, which requires additional working time, material and drying times.
For a leaching of paint layers chemicals (paint strippers) are used, which operate on different chemical mechanisms. There are solvent-based, aqueous-alkaline and aqueous-oxidative mordants and their combinations. Solvent-based paint strippers consist of mixtures of organic solvents, e.g. Methanol, gasoline, turpentine or dichloromethane, as well as surfactants and thickeners, such as methylcellulose or paraffin. These paint strippers are especially toxic by inhalation and partly by skin contact. They are harmful to the environment and often pose an increased fire hazard. It must be worked with good ventilation and with skin protection, respiratory protection and eye protection.
Alkaline strippers or alkalis are very effective for oil-containing paints, such. As oil or Alkydharziacke to remove. These contain e.g. Ammonia or caustic soda or caustic soda. These alkalis are extremely aggressive to the skin, eyes, mucous membranes and lungs and must be handled with appropriate protective clothing, respiratory protection and eye protection.
Oxidative strippers contain e.g. Hydrogen peroxide which chemically attacks the paint layers. These agents are also very aggressive to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes and it is necessary to work with appropriate protective clothing, respiratory protection and eye protection.
In all these Abbeiz- or Ablaugeverfahren produce foul odors, toxic waste and environmental pollution. The work is very complex and the substrates must be well neutralized after removing the paint layer to prevent damage to the substrate and the new paint layer.
In all the methods described considerable amounts of dirt and waste, the collection and proper disposal of which is not always easy, since e.g. the sanding dust can spread widely.
When toxic, heavy metal-containing paints must be removed (for example, males) sometimes toxic dusts that are problematic for occupational and environmental protection. These must be collected as completely as possible and disposed of as hazardous waste.
The mechanical color removal is covered in International Patent Classification B44 D, 3/16. Here, patent publications on devices and devices for removing paint layers by means of washing, brushing, scratching, scraping and grinding are primarily classified. DE 388203 has a wire brush with a variety of leaf springs for the removal of paint on the subject. In DE 453 349 a device for moistening and leveling of ceilings is described. DE 483 633 discloses an apparatus for removing old paint coats on ceilings and walls comprising movable scraper blades and a suction device. The subject of DE 1224 186 is a device for washing paint by means of a supply of washing liquid and a drivable brush. DE 19 747 838 C2 relates to a color removal device based on a blasting medium which is thrown onto the surface to be treated and conveyed back again. In DE 29 923 411 U1 a hot air spatula for removing color layers is presented. DE 20 018 803 U1 relates to a scraper blade as a tool for removing old paint layers. Finally, DE 20 2004 012 777 U1 also relates to a device for scraping off adhesion residues with prior application of a solvent.
Chemical paint removers are assigned to International Patent C09D, 9/00. The reference of literature to various types of chemical agents is omitted because the present inventive color remover is based in principle on mechanical disposal.
Given the previously available tools, devices and means for color removal of ceilings, walls and other surfaces with their requirement considerable Arbeitszeit- and / or equipment and / or material costs, the invention has the object, a color remover for mechanical disposal of color layers or unstable adhering color spots of surfaces, which allows a time-efficient and thorough removal of old color layers with the lowest possible use of equipment or materials. Furthermore, the invention should be based on the principle of color removal in principle to avoid any contamination of the working environment and possibly require only a minor reworking of the treated surface. It is also the object of the invention to provide an environmentally friendly, worker-friendly, time-saving method to prepare the surfaces to be painted by removing old layers of paint. This procedure should reduce pollution and save working time.
The color remover for the mechanical removal of color layers or unstable adhering color spots of surfaces according to the invention consists of a flat carrier with a carrier top and a carrier base. Another component of the color remover is at least one first adhesive layer applied to the carrier top, which is intended for adhering to the color layers to be removed from the surfaces or unstable adhering color spots. Finally, the color remover comprises a first flat covering with a covering front side and a lining back side, the latter being intended to detachably cover the at least one first adhesive layer before a first application of the color remover.
The color remover according to the invention therefore has a flat carrier or a carrier layer, wherein at least one side of the carrier layer is provided with a first adhesive layer or pressure-sensitive adhesive coating. The pressure-sensitive adhesive coating is provided with a first flat covering or a removable cover layer, wherein the covering layer can also be part of the support.
The following features relate to specific embodiments of the invention:
On the underside of the carrier, a second adhesive layer may be applied, which is covered by a second application of the color remover from the backing surface of a releasable second sheet covering. Such an embodiment can be used in particular when the color remover according to the invention is in a flat or plate-like form and has not been rolled into a roll.
For the purpose of solubility of only a subtle adhesion of the lining backs of the coating to the adhesive layers, the lining backs are provided with a release coating. The carrier preferably consists of a flexible, in principle tear-resistant material, in particular solid paper, foil or fleece. The covering consists of a flexible material, in particular paper, foil or fleece.
The color remover has a sandwich arrangement in the form of a plate-shaped material web or a roll of material. The material web or roll consists of a plurality of contiguous sections. Between the sections there is a marking or perforation for facilitating the division of sections.
At least at the beginning of the material web or roll, the coating has a release region for facilitated removal of the coating from the adhesive layer. Below the release region of the coating, the adhesive layer has a recess. The dissolution area is e.g. procure as marginal strip or corner area. The covering has at least one release area with a recess located underneath it on the adhesive layer on each section. The covering front can be used to attach product information. The adhesive layer and optionally also the carrier are adapted to different types of color layers to be removed or unstable adhesive color points.
If no separate carrier is made of e.g. Paper, foil or fleece provided, it is possible to produce the carrier directly from the material at a bottom of the adhesive layer by partially curing treatment and thereby preferably maintain the flexibility, but at least largely reduce the adhesive property.
The carrier or the carrier layer is preferably made of a film, e.g. Plastic film, a fabric, a nonwoven, a paper, a scrim, a foam or a combination thereof. The carrier layer can be constructed in multiple layers.
For the application, the color remover should be sufficiently thin and cuddly and at the same time sufficiently strong and stable for the removal. The color remover according to the invention should, on the one hand, have a high strength and, on the other hand, be able to cling sufficiently to the background structure. Depending on the roughness of the substrate, a greater or lesser degree of conformability is demanded by the color remover according to the invention, the conformability behaving roughly reciprocally to the bending stiffness of the color remover according to the invention. This is achieved by using a sufficiently thin, rigid material or a thicker, elastic material for the carrier layer. For application to arched, curved, structured or profiled substrates, a particularly cuddly version z.3, based on a foam carrier, fabric carrier or an elastic film carrier may be preferred.
For full-surface application on flat surfaces stiffer, thin carrier may be preferred.
If for the carrier layer for the color remover according to the invention a fabric, scrim or nonwoven is used or used, such a fabric, scrim, nonwoven or foam preferably consists of the unfinished group polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide (aliphatic, aromatic) , Polyesters (aliphatic, aromatic), polyacrylamide, polymethyl methacrylate, polyimide, polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polylactide, polyolefins, polyvinylbutyral, cellulose, viscose rayon, cotton, glass, carbon or copolymers or blends or blends thereof.
If a film or a foam is used for or used with the carrier layer for the color remover according to the invention, such a film or foam preferably consists of a polymer material from the unfinished group polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide (aliphatic, aromatic), Polyester (aaliphatic, aromatic), polyethylene, polyether, polyurethane, polyethylene terephthalate, polylactide, polyolefins, polyvinyl butyral, polybutadiene, neoprene, latex or polyvinyl chloride or copolymers or mixtures thereof.
Preferably, the color remover may comprise a carrier, which consists of a multi-layered structure, for example, made of combinations of the above-mentioned fabric, nonwoven, scrim, foam or foil. The carrier or the carrier layer can be constructed as single-layered or multi-layered of identical or different materials.
The covering or the covering layer can consist of a paper, a film, a fleece, a foam or a woven fabric. This may be combined with an adhesion reducing layer e.g. a polysiloxane. In another embodiment, the cover layer itself consists of adhesion-reducing material, e.g. preferably made of polytetrafluoroethylene The adhesion-reducing layer can also be formed in the form of a silicone coating of the corresponding surface.
In a preferred embodiment, the covering or the cover layer is part of the carrier layer.
The adhesive layer at least on the carrier top can be a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating at least one of the surfaces of the color remover according to the invention.
The first and / or second adhesive layer may conveniently consist of a pressure-sensitive adhesive material, which is selected from the incomplete group consisting of pressure-sensitive adhesives based on acrylic, chloroprene rubber, polyurethane, styrene acrylate, vinyl acetate, vinyl acetate-ethylene and / or mixtures thereof and / or their copolymers, generally present as a dispersion adhesive, solvent-based adhesive or hot melt adhesive, purely physically curing and / or chemically and / or physically post-crosslinking equipped. According to the current state of knowledge of the Applicant, pressure-sensitive adhesives based on acrylate, vinyl acetate, vinyl acetate-ethylene and / or mixtures thereof and / or their copolymers are particularly preferred.
The adhesive strength of the pressure-sensitive adhesive coating has a decisive function. This must be high enough for a secure adhesion of the paint and varnish layers to be removed and not be too high in order not to overburden or damage the healthy substrate.
With appropriate structure of the dye or paint layers, the adhesion between the individual layers of paint and the respective substrate is sufficiently high. In practice, peel adhesion values are achieved between the color layers, which can reach 20-40 N / 25 mm, measured according to standard EN 1939. For example, due to aging processes, external influences, insufficient processing or unsuitable structures, it may be that the adhesion between the individual layers or to the respective substrate is too weak to be able to support a further color layer over the expected service life. This is called weak or unstable adherent layers. These weak layers can with a peel stress, based on the standard DIN EM 1939 {same standard measurement setup but no stainless steel surface as a substrate but another color layer on a stainless steel surface), often peel adhesion values of less than 5 N / 25 mm (sometimes only 1-3 N / 25 mm) between layers of paint. According to the invention, it is also preferable to be able to remove color layers with correspondingly determined peel adhesion values of up to 10 N / 25 mm before application of new dye or lacquer layers. For this purpose, the color remover according to the invention should preferably have peel adhesion values of about 15 N / 25 mm to preferably about 20 N / 25 mm or in the range of particularly preferably 10 to 20 N / 25 mm on the respective dye or lacquer layers to be removed, measured as mentioned in a similar manner to the standard DIN EN 1939. However, it is generally known to the person skilled in the art that the adhesion properties of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can differ from substrate to substrate. A good starting point for the selection of suitable pressure-sensitive adhesives may be peel adhesion values according to standard DIN EN 1939 in the range from about 20 to 40 N / 25 mm.
The layer thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer may preferably be in the range 10-600 microns, more preferably in the range 30-400 microns, most preferably in the range 50-200 microns.
For a convenient, full-surface application of the color remover, the width of the color remover is important, it can be in the range 2 mm to 1500 mm. For the full coverage of walls and ceilings, the width is in a range of 50 mm to 1300 mm, preferably in a range of 100 min to 800 mm, and more preferably in a range of 150 mm to 600 mm, with their width in use for stairs, doors, edges, corners, edge finishes, etc. is preferably in a range of 20 mm to 400 mm, more preferably in a range of 50 mm to 300 mm, when used for profiles, structures, molds particularly preferably in one Range is from 2 mm to 80 mm, more preferably in a range of 5 mm to 50 mm.
The color remover according to the invention can be embodied as a plate or web, preferably rolled up as a web as a web.
Suitably, both an embodiment in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is wound to the outside as well as embodiment in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive coating is wound inward. More preferably, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is open, i. not covered with an additional covering or a covering layer.
According to the invention, an embodiment of the color remover is preferred as a role in which the covering or covering layer is part of the carrier layer. Particularly preferably, the covering or the cover layer is integrated as part of the carrier layer in this and arranged on the corresponding surface thereof.
The color remover may preferably be equipped with an adhesive layer on one side self-adhesive.
The color removal may also be double-sided self-adhesive, wherein on the upper and lower surfaces of the carrier or the carrier layer depending on an adhesive layer is applied as a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
In the double-sided design can be applied to a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a covering or a cover layer, which is equipped on both sides with an adhesion-reducing layer.
Preferably, the color remover according to the invention may be in the form of a plate with a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive coating and one covering layer each, or in a plate form with a one-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive coating with a covering layer.
The self-adhesive color remover according to the invention is applied according to the invention as follows:
The color remover is applied bubble-free with the first adhesive layer on the dye or varnish layer to be removed, preferably rubbed free of bubbles or rolled and peeled off after a contact time of preferably 10-15 minutes. The weakly or instably adhering dye and varnish layers are peeled off, which adhere too weak to the ground. These then adhere to the paint remover and these can be disposed of properly. The disposal can usually be done with household waste. If toxic, heavy metal-containing paint or varnish layers are removed, they must be disposed of as hazardous waste.
By the use of the paint remover according to the invention, the collection of the waste becomes much easier and easier. The surface is not damaged by this method.
If dye or lacquer layers still remain on the substrate, they can preferably be removed by local repetition of the procedure described above.
The substrate is not damaged by this method and it can often be continued directly with the construction of new dye or paint layers.
The large-scale application according to the invention may be carried out as follows:
At the beginning of the preferably in roll form spell-shaped color remover is formed by turning the Farbentfernerbahn, each a loop over the entire roll width, so that pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comes to rest on pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The color remover is then applied to the paint or varnish layer surface to be removed such that the onset of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is flush with the boundary of the paint or varnish layer surface to be removed. A small piece of the color remover is unrolled from the roll and then applied bubble-free by further rolling on the substrate or on the dye or paint surface, especially rolled or rubbed bubble-free. Any remaining bubbles can be removed by piercing and rubbing again. If necessary, further pieces can be rolled flat and blistered or rolled up. After occupying the area to be removed, the color remover is cut flush with the color or lacquer layer surface to be removed, or cut off from the roll. For full-surface application of the color remover so web by train, with little overlap of the Farbentfernerbahn be attached. The contact time of the color remover thus applied is preferably 10-15 min. The color remover is then preferably jerked off in an ideal manner at a 90 ° angle. In this case, the loop of Farbentfernerbahn is preferably taken with both hands starting with the last applied Farbentfernerbahn and touched in a 90 ° -120 ° angle to the ground with a jerk, whereby the weakly adhering dye or lacquer layer is detached from the ground. Then the Farbentfernerbahn together with the paint or varnish layer piece by piece in a 90 ° -120 ° angle to the ground jerky and completely removed. The procedure is the same with the following paint remover sheets. The detached Farbentfernerbahnen are immediately rolled up or fold and stack, which saves space and disposal volume. Depending on the removed layer, the proper disposal can be carried out.
The small-area application can be carried out according to the invention preferably as follows:
A piece of the color remover is roughly cut according to the color surface to be removed, It is preferably formed a loop, the Farbentfernerstück applied and rubbed free of bubbles. Any bubbles are pierced and rubbed again. The contact time of the color remover thus applied is preferably 10-15 min. The color remover is then preferably jerked off in an ideal manner at a 90 ° angle. The color remover together with the dye or varnish layer in a 90 ° -120 ° angle to the substrate is abruptly and completely removed. Subsequently, the proper disposal can take place.
